With a deep belief in the therapeutic power of creative expression, I strive to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their emotions, build resilience, and work toward healing. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, client-centered, emotions and strengths-focused. I believe in the innate wisdom of the body and see creative arts therapy as a process of reconnecting with and listening to that inner wisdom. The arts, in particular, offer a way to express the unspeakable.

As a creative arts therapist and certified Canadian counsellor, I listen not only to your words but to the deeper aspects of your experience. My approach is strengths-based, focusing on your unique capabilities while helping you navigate challenges in a way that feels empowering. I offer a judgment-free, curious space where you can simply show up as you are.
With training in drama therapy, therapeutic play, child-parent relationship therapy, relational needs, and motivational interviewing, I use a variety of tools—counselling through words, role exploration, metaphor, storytelling, and movement—to help you connect with your emotions, needs, and behaviours on a deeper level and to support the development of the coping tools. I have worked with diverse populations, including children, teens, and adults facing developmental trauma, anxiety, domestic violence, anger management, relationship challenges, identity exploration, language barriers, adverse immigration experiences and more. I have also supported individuals with post-stroke aphasia and primary progressive aphasia, along with their caregivers. I believe in your capacity to make meaningful changes and gain a deeper understanding of yourself. I’m here to help guide that process, providing the support you need to unlock your inner wisdom.

When you’re feeling overwhelmed and distressed, reaching out for help takes courage. My priority is to make sure you feel understood and supported, creating a warm and trusting relationship that acknowledges your strengths and honors the challenges you’ve already overcome. Together, we’ll work towards your goals in a safe and welcoming space.
I take a collaborative, strengths-based approach that affirms LGBTQ and neurodivergent experiences when working with children and adults. Our sessions will focus on exploring any limiting beliefs, societal messages, or external factors affecting your perspective. We will work together to reconnect you with narratives that bring greater fulfillment, joy, and creativity. I’ll support you in building confidence, deepening self-exploration, and identifying beliefs that open up new possibilities. Our collaboration can help you handle stressors more effectively, increase self-esteem, and feel more connected in your daily life. In individual drama therapy, we might engage in activities like storytelling, role-playing, crafts, music, movement, or character creation, allowing you to experiment with new perspectives in a non-judgmental space. There’s no need to be “good at art” or have experience in performing arts—these activities are adaptable to your interests and goals. We’ll use imagination and playfulness to explore insights that talking alone may not reveal. Everyone can reconnect with their creativity and benefit from the joy of play!
I also specialize in working with children facing challenging life transitions or struggling with interpersonal relationships, low confidence, or anxiety. For children who need help expressing strong emotions like anger in healthy ways, I provide therapeutic play sessions for ages 3-7, based on Child-Centered Play Therapy. These in-person sessions offer a space where children feel accepted and celebrated, allowing them to explore new ways of understanding themselves and interacting with their environment.
